Just before graduation, I had several offers for various theatrical avenues. But I turned them down because of the possiblitiy of well paying job that would get me up to NY. Everything fell through, and I found myself without a single lead. But I was catching a bus faithfully every other weekend from Maryland to NYC to catch whatever audition I could. Well, I had just finished two auditions, bombed them both, and found myself wandering the streets of the city feeling quite alone and desolate. I decided it was God's way of telling me not to turn down work. To really decide what was important to me. And I made a promise to take whatever job He sent me, no matter what it was. I caught my bu that evening and rode the four hours home, trudged into my apartment, picked up the phone to check my voicemail, and for the first time I had a message on it. It was an offer to be an extra in this movie.
